What We Collect

SideGames Golf collects the minimum data needed to operate:

• Account data: Email address and display name when you create an account.
• Game data: Scores, handicaps, game settings, and room codes you create or join.
• Payment handles: Venmo/CashApp usernames you voluntarily enter for settle-up. These are encrypted at rest using server-side pgcrypto.
• Location data: GPS coordinates only when you explicitly enable the rangefinder. Never collected passively.

How We Use It

Your data is used solely to provide the SideGames Golf service — tracking scores, calculating game results, and facilitating payment between players. We do not sell, share, or monetize your personal data.

Data Storage

Data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies. Payment handles are encrypted. Chat messages use end-to-end encryption (AES-256-GCM) and are not stored on our servers.

Third-Party Services

• Supabase: Database and authentication
• Netlify: Hosting and serverless functions
• Google Gemini: Scorecard photo scanning (images processed and discarded)
• Resend: Transactional email for lesson requests

Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us. Game rounds expire automatically after 24 hours of inactivity.

Cookies

We use localStorage for session persistence and game state. No third-party tracking cookies are used.
